Holy interchangeable configurations, Batman!
Some very tiny rare earth magnets arrived the other day and I decided to start magnetising sooner rather than later. It was much easier than I expected, the hardest part was not glueing my fingers together while handling the fiddle wee things.
I had planned to use tweezers to help place them, however with my typical lack of foresight I selected tweezers made of iron that were thus magnetic.
Once I'd figured out what I wanted to magnetise I just put a dab of glue on one surface, held the magnet on for a few seconds and it was good to go. Some, like the little holes for the heavy weapons, I put the magnet in first then put some super glue over it to hold it in.
I was worried the magnets would be too small at 1mm thick, 2mm across. They ended up being perfect, holding an auto-cannon snugly against the side of a sentinel.
Now I can enjoy my newly magnetic heavy weapons squad. Just need to find more things to stick magnets to...

Demolishar
Leman Russ Demolisher has arrived!
Now I just need to remove the sponsons so I can use it as a LRBT + Lascannon.
Oh god that was harder than it should have been. Turns out they were welded on. After a lot of struggling I finally got them off with minimal damage all around (including to me).
At some point soon I'll strip the caked-on paint and get it looking all lovely.

WIP Lamp Marine
A marine, with a lamp on a stick!
I think he was at one point a Space Wolf Standard Bearer, however I found him in a bit of a sorry state. His arm has been re-jiggered to hold a lascannon power pack, and I stuck a lamp on his flag pole. I'll add wires from the pack to the lamp and maybe some other little details.

Penal Legionnairs
Just finished the most recent additions to my Penal Legion squad.
They're made from Empire Militia and whatever bits I could find lying around.

Valhallan Officer
Look who arrived in the post today!
Update!
Here he is now assembled!
I've decided to leave him painted for now, maybe I'll even touch up that little chip at the top of his arm.
My original plan was to strip and re-paint him, but I don't know if I can bear to do it, he looks so lovely!
